Sam's Party is less than 2 months away. Let the planning begin. The date and time has been scheduled. I picked the location, which we be the zoo!!! I already reserved it, just have to send in the contract. The theme, which will be Jungle/Safari Animals and prints. I made the guest list which is around 60. I'm going to send out invites. Something I haven't done in ages. I picked a photo invitation that will have a picture of the theme, plus 2 pictures of Sam.
Here is a picture of the theme I picked.
This weekend I will be deciding on a cake design with my mil, if she can do it. She is in the middle of moving.
My name is Shannon and I love throwing parties for my kids. I also love to do baby shower's and birthday parties for my friends and family.

Sammy's 1st Birthday!
So I'm in the works planning Sammy's 2nd Birthday. Time sure does fly. Here is a look back at his birthday party last year.
We did a monkey theme, which suited him. After all his nickname was Monkey! We decided since it was his 1st birthday and he was our last baby that we would go all out for this party. We had it at our house and invited close to 80 guests.
That is a lot of people to cook for so we had it catered. Yummy Mexican food. My mother in law made the cutest Monkey cake and Monkey decor. I had M&M's custom made with Sammy's picture on them. They said "Isn't It Fun, Sammy's 1".
For the kids we hired a face painter and a balloon artist. I got a slide/jumper combo for the driveway and had our little jumper set up in the backyard.
This party was great, just too many people. I wanted to be the hostess with the mostess so I was running around and never really got to enjoy it.
I did get lots of compliments on all the little details and everyone loved my strawberry margaritas with fresh strawberries!
SURPRISE!!!
Surprise parties are the best! And I was able to successfully throw a surprise party for my son Donavan's 9th birthday. I loved this party. My hubby Fred took Donavan and Seth to Knott's Berry Farm for his birthday. While they were out I got everything ready. When he came in the door and we were in the dark kitchen, we yelled surprise, it was incredible. He had no idea! The party was great. It was a reptile theme. We had prehistoric pets come out and do show with lots of cool reptiles. A girl named Jackie did the cake, which came out great and was inexpensive. We had pizza and lots of junk for the kids to eat, which they love!

Next party is Febuary 9th 2010
I'm throwing a Valentine's Day Party next. It's a small party at the park for some of my momma friends and there kids. The kids can exchange cards, decorate there bags and heart shaped cakes. We are doing gift exchange for the mommas. I'm making chocolate covered oreos to pass out. I got all the decor and stuff to make. Just got to get balloons the day of the party and my gift for the exchange. Maybe I can sneak out while the boys are watching the superbowl. I would like to find a shirt for Sammy for the party too!
The last party I threw
The last party I actually threw was for my son Noah's 4th birthday. It was a Diego themed party at our home. My mil made such a cute cake, it was the yummiest one I think she has made so far. I couldn't stop eating it. We got a Diego jumper/slide combo. We did a pinata and bug hunt for the kids.
For food I bought pizza and 2 huge subs from subway, It was a hit because there wasn't too much left over.
I made CD's with kids songs from Diego, Dora, Yo Gabba Gabba etc for the kids to take home.
Here are a few pictures from the party!
My Parties
Ok so I love throwing parties. Right now I'm in the middle of planning a baby shower, 2nd birthday party for Sam and a Valentine's Party.
Last year I threw a party for all 5 of my boys birthdays,a 55th birthday party for my mil, a party for my friend Dani, a baby shower for my friend Kathie and a few holiday parties, Halloween, St Patricks Day etc.
So I thought it would be nice to start a blog for all my past and future parties.
